The Catch - Ragan Gennusa

This painting by Ragan Gennusa depicts a snapshot of the game-winning play in the 1970 Texas versus UCLA football game. On 4th down with 55 seconds left in the game and UCLA leading 17 to 13, Texas receiver Cotton Speyrer leaps in the air, extending all the way to catch the football and score the game-winning touchdown. This was a historic victory which secured Texas's spot as the SWC record holder for most consecutive football games won in a row with 23.
